Growing up in  Massachusetts the child of two illustrators, I became dedicated to art at an early age, studied drawing, painting and sculpture with varied Berkshire artists throughout my teens, and then attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, majoring in illustration and fine art. The strong emphasis on drawing and design provided by illustration training gave me the tools to be more versatile in any genre, and for me, that control is a solid foundation for expression in any medium.

First working as an illustrator and graphic designer for publications in
San Francisco, I later moved to Nantucket, where I co-owned a design and advertising studio on the island. This business created illustration, design and marketing for companies as varied as the National Wildlife Federation, Olympic Greetings, The Massachusetts Environmental Trust, Ocean Spray, Random House, Alpo, Pillsbury, Microsoft Publishing, Bantam Books, and LucasArts, as well as many local restaurants, retailers, and service businesses.
 

In 2000 I returned to the beautiful Berkshires of western Massachusetts, and now own and produce the Berkshire Real Estate Guide, as well as  offering graphic design, illustration, and fine art by commission.
